Joe Jones wears a lot of hats and holds a lot of responsibility in his various roles within Grand Rapids. This conversation is framed around Joe’s role as Grand Rapids City Commissioner representing the 2nd Ward. Especially during a time when Grand Rapids is experiencing tremendous pressure to rapidly change around the subjects of racial equity, inclusion and social justice.
Joe’s also the CEO of the Grand Rapids Urban League and Assistant Pastor of Brown Hutcherson Ministries.
Brian and Joe roll up their sleeves and get candid about Joe’s faith, being a leader and his desire to see every resident in Grand Rapids feel that they have value.
